FAQs

Why should my company sponsor PSAA?

PSAA offers a single point of contact for companies to leverage the power and appeal of pets for a distinct competitive advantage. Pet lovers are big spenders (over $70 billion annually) and they buy products and support companies that help the companion animals they love.

PSAA provides local access on a national scale. Our corporate sponsors reach 130 million passionate animal lovers in 35 markets throughout the U.S.

What will my company receive for our sponsorship?

PSAA offers our corporate sponsors:

  • National and regional market activation
  • Quick and effective ways to reach 130 million animal lovers
  • An appealing market segment
  • Opportunities to attain incremental sales

Can my company partner with a select group of PSAA shelters?

Yes, we offer customization to align business needs with the most appropriate regions or shelters.

How do PSAA shelters benefit from corporate sponsorships?

Like most private, independent, local non-profit organizations, PSAA members must continually solicit support from all sectors of their communities. PSAA provides the opportunity for these local organizations to receive funding from a source not normally available to a locally based non-profit.

These funds are used to provide the staffing, food, medicine, equipment and facilities necessary for quality direct animal care and adoption services and for community educational programs, such as pet behavior information and training and programs and information for children.

What is the difference between PSAA and other national animal-related organizations?

Pet Shelters Across America is the only national organization designed to provide one-stop access to marketing opportunities with 35 of the nation’s largest local animal welfare organizations and to provide those shelters with corporate sponsorship opportunities not available to them individually.

Unlike national animal welfare organizations, PSAA directly supports front-line, boots on the ground animal rescue efforts. Other national animal organizations focus on lobbying for stronger animal welfare laws or helping animals in specific geographic regions. Most national animal organizations provide sheltering services in only one location, if at all.

Don’t PSAA shelters receive funding from national animal welfare organizations?

Each PSAA shelters is independent of any national animal welfare organization. Each operates with its own board of directors and administrative structure. Each receives funding locally from a variety of private and, in some cases, public sources. PSAA was founded to provide a funding source not normally available to a local organization.
